Nationalpark De Hoge Veluwe
The national park is located in the woodland Veluwe northwesterly from Arnheim, between Ede and Apeldoorn.
The park has a total area of about 54. 5 km ² and exists of wood (mainly coniferous wood), dunes and moor. Many plants and animals being placed under protection of endangered species and animals, such as red deer and black game, can be found there.
Near the village Otterlo there is the main entrance with the visitor's center. Under the visitor's center you can find the Museonder, a museum for the subterranean life, which is also interesting for children.
To explore the park, you can borrow bicycles free of charge or rent technically better or special bicycles as for example tandems.
