Certified for the third time
This is also proven by the GreenSign Level 3 certification by InfraCert – Institute for Sustainable Development in the Hotel Industry. For the third time, we were able to show during the certification that we at the Lindenhof implement and live the sustainability concept in almost all hotel areas.
And the best thing about it: With us you don’t have to do without anything – on the contrary. Sustainability does not only mean acting ecologically, but also economically and socially.
Respect, tolerance and helpfulness
Respect, tolerance and helpfulness are a matter of course in our house and form the basis of our everyday work. Each individual guest as well as employees and suppliers are treated with a lot of tolerance – that means we are cosmopolitan towards other cultures, religions and ways of life. In the team everyone works with everyone on an equal footing and has the opportunity to develop further through training.
Outside of hotel operations, for example, we support social initiatives on the subject of mobility for people with disabilities. But we also support and encourage the next generation of industry professionals in joint projects with the University of Kleve.
Regional and self-made products
In the Lindenhof we focus on regionality in ecological terms – that means we obtain most of our food directly from partners in our region. This guarantees natural freshness, strengthens the region and reduces transport emissions. For example, we get our cheese from a local dairy, our coffee from a private roastery, the trout are fished from Kranenburg ponds and our vegetables and fruit come from regional cultivation.
In addition, we produce some things ourselves and thus determine the ingredients and quality ourselves. Enjoy our own production, for example, bread, cakes, muesli, as well as pies, barbecue sauces and spreads.
